‘The hanging structures need to be gently held while they are painted on. Of course this seems much like painting on an easel. But there is no support, there is no easel. This shaky state of the to-be painted surface defines the ‘brushstroke’, the ductus of the hand. In this detail lies the fragile and poetic character of the work.’
